Hello, I’m Michael Witters.
Kioni has influenced me in ways I’d had not realized till
I stopped and thought about it. Let me start by
explaining when I first interacted with Kioni Carter ,
She mentioned to me that she was having a workshop
“The Power of You” at a rented space in Brooklyn so I
attended and at this workshop “The Power of You” we
spoke about various things and included in those
various things comes “The Law Of Attraction” so Kioni
Carter gave out an assignment for us to pair off into
groups of two so we did so and I paired off with a
young lady and explained my goals for the future, what
I plan to accomplish and how I plan to accomplish
them. Coming back as a group discussion, Kioni asking
what we spoke about in each individual group and I
told the entire group about my dreams of becoming a
professional game developer -programmer and my plans
to do so was blocked by this big wall which was the
fact that I had a full time job and its hard to find
time for school. Of course with me thinking that the
only school that I can go to for that was to attend
classes in an actual school. In result advice was
given by Kioni Carter that there is always several
different ways to accomplish one goal.
It being a few months later I just finished my first
week of online school at Devry University Online
studying Game and simulation programming. I am very
glad that I attended Kioni Carter’s workshop “The
Power of You”. First only attending for the free $1000
shopping spree which is what attracted me to it at
first now for the future I really don’t need the
shopping spree to attract me. She as well as others
amongst the entire group helped me see that I can go
anyway to get to my same goal, and there is always a
way.
I would like to thank Kioni Carter for her support and
powerful positive speaking which made me make the
advancement that I did to at least start off my first
steps towards my final goal.

Last year my life was in shambles. I was at a job that I hated more than life itself, I was behind in all my bills and I was going back into a deep and dark depression. None of my friends knew how bad it was, until I started speaking up about my problems. Kioni sat me down and talked to me about my issues. Before reading God is a Woman by Kioni Carter, I
blamed my whole past for not giving me a better
future. I put myself down constantly without hesitation
because I felt that's the only way to build myself up.
I started writing into a journal after I read her book
and to be honest I feel some changes coming over me.
Change doesn't happen over night but there's a certain
process and a gain of strength that I see in me which
I didn't see before. My past were lessons which I never
realized until now, because I actually found my self doing
the same mistake over and over and then wonder "why me".
Duh, because I let it happen over and over, I didn't
take any control of the situation. Kioni's book made my
eyes widen with more of an open mind. I don't see a
complete change, but as she said it will come gradually
and I can't wait until that happens. Thank you Kioni, I
really appreciate your book, because now as a mother,
I need to be more on track, and I felt that you guided
me to a direction. I don't know where it's headed but
I know it's headed somewhere good.
